Business Cards for free or cheap

As a self-employed entrepreneur or new business owner. One of things that you need to do, is to create business cards for yourself, so that you can network with others, and they can contact you for some work.

Questions to consider:
* What information to display?
What is your title? The name of your company. What phone number, email address, twitter account, chat contacts? As a web developer, I do not include my phone number, just email address, chat contact and twitter account.

* Do you have a logo?
If so, then you might want to get the business cards professionally designed and printed at a print shop. A quicker and cheaper option, is to create a quick pdf of your business card, which you can either do online or with a graphics editor like gimp or photoshop. Take the pdf on a usb thumb drive, and get it printed out on card stock. Might cost a dollar a page with 12 cards per page.

If you do not have a logo yet, you could go to your locals Staples or Office Depot to choose one of their templates, and order there and then.

Other options for the internet savvy, include getting free business cards from Vista Print, Giggle print, 123 print or Moo print pay only for shipping and processing. Be warned though, that the free business cards may come with a logo of the printing shop which may distract your contact from the message that you are trying to convey.

The route that I chose is to go with Business Card Land, which allows you to choose a few templates, and fully customize the colors of the card. I took the pdf on my usb thumb drive, and printed 50 business cards on the spot for $5.
