The beginning of this year I decided to go on a retreat in Florida offered by Minh Pham a self-help guru, who is one of the authors with Deepak Chopra on the book "Stepping Stones to Success".

Recently I came across Mastery of Self by Frank Channing Hadock 1853-1915

Upon closer investigation, this book is part of the "New Thought" movement, of which "the Secret" Law of Attract book/movie are based on.

I don't agree with "the Secret"'s Law of Attraction as it is currently understood:

Last month in October, I had the good luck of getting involved with a workshop on walking with poise and confidence.

I learned a lot from Taaja in 2 hours, about how our walk, and posture can have a major impact on making a good first impression. I became aware of different eye contacts, how to enter a room with confidence.

When I was around 12 years old, I started to lose my far-sighted vision, particularly in my right eye. My parents dutifully took me to the optometrist, who when I asked why I now needed glasses, he mentioned something about my eyes being defective. I could not understand the logic as to how a defect not present at birth could suddenly develop.

On 10/10, October the 10th I had the good fortune of attending a real-estate workshop that cost me one dollar. It ran from 9am to 5pm, I got to meet Minh Pham in person, a recognized real-estate guru out of the DC metropolitan area. Also we were fed lunch and cookies.
